detail JB Daniel Artist Statement: My work is concerned with meaning, meaning structures, contextualization and distinctions. The work emerges through a reconsideration of the familiar. Within the reconsideration, postmodern philosophical concerns of language, cognitive processes and reality are explored using nontraditional materials in constructing what I term "conceptual objects". The use of the commonplace invites what we "know" about the materials to become part of the work.
